ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

At the base of the project is the book titled ‘Architecture at Ahmedabad, the capital of Goozerat’ photographed by Colonel Biggs and published in the year 1866. The book contains a list of 39 monuments dotted across Ahmedabad, a number of which have been rarely explored.

Mitul has been visiting, exploring and documenting these monuments since the past two years and will be displaying his work for the first time in the form of a photography exhibition.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

MITUL KAJARIA is an artist with photography as his primary medium of expression and an architect by training. He has worked in multiple genres of photography including documentary, architectural, conceptual, fine art and therapeutic.
His work has been internationally and nationally awarded and has been published in magazines such as National Geographic Traveler India.
He has had two solo exhibitions and has been a part of multiple group exhibitions held across the world. Mitul, in collaboration with a poet, recently produced an art installation for ‘Abhivyakti’, a city-wide art festival held in Ahmedabad in 2018.
