The most profound things in history were told by jokers, jesters, comedians in the most funny way. This April 1st, the stories will take us on a journey to some of these wonderful people and stories from folklore and history that makes us laugh, but also find a lovely connect in todays’s time. Be it Birbal, Tenali Raman, Mullah Nassrudin, Charlie Chaplin ….. in the humour there was wisdom.

Over the 1 hour Vikram will perform and explore these stories that will make us smile, giggle, smirk, laugh… but as they say, stories take us on a journey, leaving us where we started.

About the artist – Vikram Sridhar is an Engineer and MBA by degree. Growing up in Chennai and living in Bangalore he’s now is a Performance Storyteller and theater practitioner who believes in Storytelling as a strong medium for Conservation, which is highly relevant in the modern context.

Dr. Introduction of Manek Patel (bridge):
Doctors who are a dentist in business. Manek Patel “Setu” is a researcher-writer known for the subject of World Heritage City Ahmedabad. They have written 3 books on various subjects of Ahmedabad city and Ahmedabad city as well as made 3 documentaries.

Dr. Manek Patel ‘Setu’ started the writing activity with a daily letter, after that he published an article on the 5th pup installment named ‘Ahmedabad Katha’ in ‘Gujarat Samachar’. Later, ‘Ahmedabad-Katha’ was published as a book. In addition to six years of study and research at the end of 2009 Dr. Manek Patel had created ‘This is Ahmedabad’. Also at the same time, in their ‘Divya Bhaskar’ published an article named ‘Mirate Ahmedabad’ and ‘Karnavati Crossword’.

After Gujarat Samachar and Divyabhaskar, a 10-week article named ‘Ahmedabad of Ahmedabad’ was published in Nav Gujarat Samachar during 2019-3 and Dr. Manek Patel, writes articles for many years in Gujarat Government’s ‘Gujarat’ Deepotsavi issue by invitation. As well as in many other months their study articles about Ahmedabad are frequently published.
