Access to affordable and quality healthcare services is still a luxury to large sections of the society. However, examples of individuals and organisations working selflessly to address these concerns are not rare. The Red Brick Summit, in association with Tata Trusts, would like to recognize such exemplary efforts. To this effect, we present to you the ‘Social Impact’ Award to felicitate contributions in the Healthcare Sector by an individual, a group of individuals or an organization. Keep watching this space for regular updates! Nomination Procedure: All nominations are to be filed by filling the application form in the link. The link for filling the application form would be active from 12:00:00 hours on 5th September 2017 to 23:59:59 hours on 15th September 2017 Eligibility criteria for nominees: 1. Nomination can be filed for an individual, a group of individuals or an institution 2. There is no age limit for the nominees 3. Multiple nominations per person allowed 4. Applications are open for nominees who have successfully undertaken projects in healthcare, public healthcare, preventive healthcare, use of technology in healthcare leading to better healthcare services or outcomes related to public health 5. Nomination must be filed by one single person who may nominate oneself or may choose to nominate any other individual/group of individual or an organisation 6. The nominees, if selected, should be willing to travel to Ahmedabad in person to receive the award on one of the days of the Summit (between September 29 to October 2, 2017) 7. In case of institution nominations, the initiative details should be mentioned on their website and/or their accounts/reports 8. Validity of the nomination will be based on a thorough background check and detailed evaluation of the initiative information communicated Selection Criteria for the award 1. The nominees would be judged based on the following criteria by an approved team of panellists put together by The Red Brick Summit team 2. The panel shall take into consideration the nature of activity undertaken and the physical impact/potential that the activity has on the targeted society. The impact could be in terms of actual or potential lives saved or in terms of reduction in cost of healthcare services for the targeted audience 3. The panel shall take into account the novelty and innovation of the initiative based on the degree of differentiation of the project from any similar projects undertaken by any other individual, group of individuals or organisation in the past 4. If the nominee has worked for the betterment of population afflicted by any particular disease or ailment, the panel shall consider the magnitude of the issue associated with the disease or ailment and the necessity of addressing the same 5. In case a nominee has undertaken a project that has provided access to specific or generic healthcare services, the difficulty and the associated challenges shall be evaluated to decide on the impact 6. Impact to be also judged based on project sustainability, number of individuals impacted, number of localities impacted, money spent or revenue generated etc. 7. Importance may also be given to the duration of the initiative taken 8.
