Modern Architecture or Modernist Architecture brought out a paradigm shift in the way architecture was conceptualised, designed and built. World over, architecture of this time is being recognised as valuable heritage for the future generations. Ahmedabad, newly inscribed as a World Heritage City, has been fortunate to be a site for explorations by many masters of modern architecture. This panel discussion is aimed at identifying the significance of modern architecture in the history of the city. The panelists would reflect and debate upon the questions of value, of conservation and of relevance of modern architecture as heritage of the city.
