Alliance Française’s initiative, ArtSpeaks presents an exhibition and talk, exploring 36 crafts of India through works of Ahmedabad based designer Anuja Khokhani.
Her works give us an opportunity to reflect on various arts and crafts of India, some of which are widely popularized and others, are thriving. The exhibition will be followed by a talk with the artist. We shall conclude the evening with a group discussion in the café aimed at sharing challenges prevailing in this industry in India.

About the artist
A graduate in Fine Arts, Anuja Khokhani is a graphic designer, an illustrator and an artist who loves to be the silent observer in a group, sketching away everyday things, which add a bit of spice to her mundane life. With over 7 years of experience in the field of design, she now pursues her core interests – as a freelance graphic designer; with a focus on branding and packaging and print media projects. Her deep-rooted interest in Indian crafts has led her to pursue craft related projects, where she has worked directly with artisans. Her affinity towards Indian crafts, combined with her skills in illustrations, lend the projects that she works on, a personal touch.
