Arthshila Ahmedabad and Studio Anugraha are pleased to present ‘To Hold and Behold: Word and Image’ – An Exhibition on Practice and Process of Book Design.

The Exhibition will formally open with an Inaugural Talk by Deshna Mehta followed by Exhibition Walkthrough.

The exhibition focuses on the practice and process of book design of 6 self-published books by individual patrons (authors) who commissioned the studio to design them. Alongside these, an 8-volume compendium on the Kumbh Mela published by the studio will be exhibited giving a glimpse into the process of its making. Each book highlights a specific component and approach to book design emergent from and responsive to the context and content within the respective books. The telling is through sequential narratives in the form of looped slides and the physical books which we invite our audiences to engage with.
