As urban musicains, apart from connecting the Roots of (some) existing folk music styles, we shall also explore and represent a different way to accompany Folk music from Gujarat. With this regard, we shall explore some elements of Avant-garde, minimalistic music, chamber music, Jazz music etc. (in context to where we belong). All of this is our Abhivyakti as urban musicians – accompanying Folk musicians from Kutch
– Thinking LOUD –
could this be the future of looking at working with folk musicians? a new language of fusion with Gujarati folk? Can it be continued further and explored more? etc. etc.

Concept, Visualisation and compositions (apart from original folk tunes) by Akash Bhatt.

A big dedication and contribution in arrangements, exploration and execution by:
Vanraj Sarangi – with his Sarangi that travels from India to Middle east to Chamber music
Nayan Kapadiya – with skills of playing his imaginations on Keyboards
Dwit Hathi – with his Bass guitar which can sing along and through sounds of different ‘isms’ in music.

Musicians from Kutch
Muralala Marwada – with his unique and powerful folk voice
Ghado – Ghamela Player
Janz player

Abhivyakti City Arts Project
