Witness the buzz of avian diversity thriving within this one of a kind habitat for magnificent birding and rewarding photographic junctures with experts.

This vast cracked land often gleaming with mirages has an assortment of habitats which include saline mudflats, wetlands, grassland, and thorny shrubs. Hence, host a variety of bird species both migrant and resident. Raptors like Peregrine Falcon, Common Kestrel, Merlin, Imperial Eagle, Steppe Eagle, Long Legged Buzzard, Marsh, Montagu’s and Pallid Harriers along with large flocks of Greater Short-toed Larks and a backdrop of pink carpeted wetlands with Lesser & Greater Flamingos set this place abuzz! Little Rann of Kutch is also renowned for being home to the world’s last population of the khur sub-species of the Wild Ass.

This place full of surprises as you never know you may just spot a Raptor on a kill or a bird that is extremely rare. There are chances of photographing the rare Hoopoe Lark and other species like Short-eared Owl, Desert Warbler, Greater and Lesser Flamingos, Pelicans, Common Crane, Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse, Sand Lark, Sykes’s Lark and Greater Short-toed Lark.

This tour is led by Vipul Ramanuj, whose experience with LRK goes back to 20 years. Vipul will share his extensive knowledge of this region (both field & scientific) with the participants. Being an exceptional wildlife photographer as well, his expertise will ensure a huge takeaway in terms of both birding & photography

On special demand by our members, we have specially designed this birding & wildlife photo-tour on a weekend which is also easy on your budget but definitely high on experience. If you wish you can also opt for an extension of this photo-tour and add a few more days to maximize your time here.

Includes: Pick-up & drop at Ahmedabad, 4 Drives into the Rann, accommodation on twin sharing, all meals (Breakfast on the first day to breakfast on last day), permits and guide/entry charges wherever applicable are inclusive.

Excludes: Travel to Ahmedabad and back. camera charges, beverages, mineral water, expenses of personal nature, tips and anything that’s not part of includes list above.
