Their father, Ustad Gulshan Meer, son of the famous late Ustad Sohan Lal, is not only their guru but often also performs with them in concert! The sisters were spotted on the TV Show ‘Nikki Awaz Punjab Di’ and soon their popularity mushroomed, getting them performances of Punjabi Sufi music not just in India but across the world.

In 2012, The Nooran Sisters featured on the song ‘Allah Hoo’ on Coke Studio, which led to their singing ‘Pataka Guddi’ for A.R. Rahman on the ‘Highway’ soundtrack in 2014, which exploded them on the national scene.
