A grumpy old man who has no reason to live. That’s what Ove is. Author Fredrik Backman’s story is of an aging man resentful by a life that hasn’t turned out the way he expected. Ove has his own fears, he is a bit of a square peg in a round world. We’ll all see a bit of Ove in ourselves, or realize we have an Ove in our lives.

All through the book I either had tears rolling down my eyes or I was laughing out loud. This book is funny, smart, sensitive all rolled into one. I felt we all need to be like Ove. And you know what the problem with Ove was – that he had a very large heart, quite literally

This is not a ‘talk’ but a discussion where we read anecdotes from the book and share our own experiences around it. Apart from it, the session will also have:

• The narration of the story (For all those who couldn’t manage to read the book, I understand you were busy!)

• Why does this story matter?

• The writing style of the author

• How do you relate to the author and his story?

• Which is the least favorite part of the book? and more.

Join us in this discussion and enlighten us with your views! We are waiting for your presence.
