Dolly is typical overbearing wife who always gets her way. Dolly is an ambitious person, who likes to get involved in things way beyond her ability. True to her tradition she has got herself entered in a drama competition in Hindi, and has selected a classical old Mythological play called “Harish Chandra Satyavadi” – a story of a king who was so committed to be truthful that he could even sacrifices his family for truth. The main issue is Dolly is not as good an actor as she thinks and to top it up Hindi is not a language she or any of her friends can speak.

Dolly has forced her ‘henpecked’ husband Behram to play the lead character and he is going through a painful experience. Dolly has also enrolled her other friends and even her long time male servant to play other roles.

She has gone and engaged a “failed director” to direct the play and he has no idea who are these actors and what they can or cannot do.
In parallel, Behram wants to start his own business and has finally managed to convince his wealthy uncle to give him money. His uncle is coming over this evening to discuss these financial matters. Only issue is that Dolly has organised a drama practice at their house but the uncle hates anything to do with drama. He thinks this is not something any decent person should do.

This play provides hilarious situations where few people who have no clue of a language try to act in that language and how they “butcher” the language. Also how poor Behram manages to get his uncle to help him in his business when all this play practice is going on around them.
