On this International Yoga Day, coinciding with the annular solar eclipse, Damaru announces a unique initiative of collectively chanting the Gayatri Mahamantra – 100008 times! #lightoverdarkness #powerofcollectivechanting

When chanted as per proper vedic notations handed down since thousands of years, one can get transformative results. Don’t worry, we will teach you the vedic notations and how they are to be chanted, closer to the time. By doing so, we will be collectively generating precise frequencies that will work on our individual system as well as on the collective consciousness globally. It’s a sonic science.

About Gayatri: Gayatri Mantra is a mahamantra and appears across all the four Vedas. It is also known as Veda Maata (Mother of the Vedas). Extremely powerful in nature – the frequencies generated are known to dispel ignorance, doubts and darkness within us and helps us shine in our true power. Though at an apparent level it addresses the Sun outside us, it simultaneously implies and invokes the Sun/ Soul or the light within us.

Importance of Gayatri during Solar Eclipse: As per the ancient Indian Shastras, chanting Gayatri on the day of solar eclipse holds a special significance. The shastras prescribe that chanting during eclipse is incredibly effective as the power of this mahamantra multiplies immensely. Meditation as well as chanting are highly recommended during this period.

Whenever you chant a Vedic mantra, there are 2 aspects to be kept in mind. One is chanting with correct notations and pronunciations which generate precise sonic frequencies, which we will teach you and the second particularly important aspect is your intention/sankalpa. Setting your intention prior to the practice increases the efficacy of the mantra.

Let us set up an intention at 3 levels:
1. Purifying our own self
2. Purifying our own homes or immediate spaces
3. Creating collective consciousness for the wellbeing of the whole planet.

Goal: Our aim is to collectively chant 100008 Gayatri MahaMantras with each person chanting 108 times (1 mala of rosary beeds) which can be achieved by a minimum of exactly 926 people chanting together.
