The Abstract Aesthetic – An abstract Art Show

A group show by – ANWAR, BRINDA MILLER, KALPANA SHAH, NAHID MERCHANT, PARESH MAITY, RAVI MANDLIK, VIJAY SHINDE, YUSUF

Preview on 8th January, 2019 – by invite only

Open for all from 9th to 31st January 2019
Monday to Saturday – 11am to 7pm

Breaking away from traditional shapes and figures, abstract
art explores a more ambiguous unknown. It allows for a
true glimpse into the imaginative potential of our human
minds, conveying tales through texture and creating
landscapes of color. The influence of an abstract visual is
immense as it invokes inexplicable emotions in the viewer,
despite seeming simplistically pleasing on the surface. It is in
this vast emptiness of color that our mind begins to fill the
gaps of vision through contemplation and self-reflection!
Patterns, structures and shapes never seen before are
brought to life through interaction between art and
audience. True to the differences of human expression,
abstract art also varies in aesthetic, with some being
chaotically complex like the works of Miller and Shinde, and
others being soft and meditative like the works of Anwar
and Mandlik. The power that unites them is their ability to
communicate deeper layered meanings through vivid and
aesthetically pleasing means. The Abstract Aesthetic attracts,
intrigues, involves and challenges the viewer all at once,
creating a beautiful amalgamation of passionate love and
solemn spirituality.
