2018-07-28 14:00:00 2018-07-28 17:00:00 Asia/Kolkata One/1 : Soils+ “ONE / 1”, which will bring together current and future professionals, practitioners, subject experts, architects, artists and industry on a single knowledge sharing platform for landscape architecture and design. The event shall be spread over several sessions on various aspects of landscape architecture from soil to finishing materials. These sessions are by invite only. Each session of the event shall focus on one subject or material related to landscape. The first session: “SOIL+” shall bring together practitioners and manufacturers of different kinds of soil and growing media shall be held on 28th July 2018. Prof. Dr. Deepa Maheshwari (PhD, MLArch, MSc Botany) is the program coordinator for landscape programs at CEPT University. Her academic career spans more than 2 decades, and her expertise lies in soil and plant science. She has also consulted with several Government organizations as a subject expert, and given lectures at several events. Mr. Denish Delwadiya (BE Computers) is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of industry experience. One of his latest ventures is a soil alternative – Expanded Clay Aggregates that helps in landscape development in locations with dearth of soil as well as on podiums of tall buildings. Dr. Naresh Pancholi (PhD Agricultural Botany, PG Horticulture, BSc Botany) is a horticultural consultant with a career spanning more than 2 decades. He has been instrumental in development of several landscapes, golf courses and environmental restoration projects. Prof. R B Maraviya (PGDM ( AgriL. Extn.); ME (Agric.), BE (Agric.)), is Executive Director (Agriculture), Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. He was Director (Technical) with Gujarat State Land Use Board for seven years. Prior to that he was Research Scientist (Agril. Engng.) at Gujarat Agricultural University.11 Release of Research Recommendations for farmers/scientific community, publication of over 70 papers and several popular articles, guidance to 16 UG/PG Dissertations and “Reddy Award” in recognition of his PG Dissertation work are in his credit.
