City Dialogues is an exhibition of evocative black & white photographs of everyday life in Delhi from the 1930’s-1990’s. Selected works of amateur photographers from the Delhi Visual Archive, an archive of the Centre for Community Knowledge, Ambedkar University Delhi will be on display for the public.

The purpose of this exhibition is to reflect upon how life in the city has changed over the years and what possibilities the future has to offer. The photographs are memoirs of not just Delhi but many other Indian cities of the time.

We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition and share with us your memories of life in Ahmedabad. Was it the same as Delhi? What made it different? If you have photographs of the city from the past decades, do bring them along.

This project was made possible with support from India Foundation for the Arts under the Archival and Museum Fellowships Programme.
