સામાન્ય રીતે કાર્ટૂનિસ્ટો બીજાનાં ઠઠ્ઠાચિત્રો બનાવીને, બીજાના હિસાબે ને જોખમે મઝા કરાવતા હોય છે અથવા પોતાનું એકાદ પાત્ર સર્જતા હોય છે. જેમ કે, આર. કે. લક્ષ્મણનો કૉમન મૅન. પરંતુ આ સિરીઝમાં કાર્ટૂનિસ્ટ અશોક અદેપાલે જુદી જુદી ઘટનાઓ અને વિષયોને અનુરૂપ પોતાનાં જ અવનવાં વ્યંગચિત્રો તૈયાર કર્યાં છે. એ દરેકમાં ચહેરાનું સામ્ય હોવા છતાં, શૈલીમાં અને વિષયોમાં અઢળક વૈવિધ્ય છે. એક ચહેરાને ઠઠ્ઠાચિત્રમાં કેટકેટલાં જુદાં સ્વરૂપે રજૂ કરી શકાય અને છતાં મૂળ સાથેનું સામ્ય જળવાયેલું રહે, તે આ કાર્ટૂનસેલ્ફીની વિશેષતા છે.
