By unfolding sparing efforts of young performing artists, Alakh is getting the young audience interested in traditional music performed by young artists, in the genre of Hindustani classical music, which is more often represented and respected by the seniors. Creating a landscape of culturally aware individuals, Alakh provides visibility to the less-known yet experienced & well-acquainted performing artists and art forms. Alakh is a concept that speaks about the heritage of music in India. It wears the pride on its sleeves when young people come forward and adopt the traditions willingly, having felt the impact that it does to their own growth. It is an event that deeply recognizes the gaps between an artist & their audience. For the very reason, it fabricates a platform to unveil young & talented artists across genres. In its second edition, Alakh is coming to Ahmedabad. The first Indian city to hold the status of ” World Heritage City”, Ahmedabad has always been welcoming & encouraging of art, culture & music.
