A Heritage Trail from Bhadra Fortress to Desai Ni Pol

Ahmedabad, as we see today is more than 600 years old but the history of the city goes way before the birth of Ahmedabad. More to know that the old Ahmedabad city has many architectural and cultural marvels like temples, mosques and palatial havelis and pols. And this old city area is also responsible for giving birth to motivational tales of courage and amusing anecdotes as well as to interesting ideas.
Walk down the area from Bhadra Fortress, the building that established Ahmedabad as we see today to Desai Ni Pol – one of the most beautiful quarters of the old Ahmedabad and walk down memory lane of the city. Not only did this area give birth to today’s Ahmedabad but is also responsible for the origin of many other elements that has contributed in its development.
Join us for this walk through the palimpsest of the spectacular walled city and be a spectator to the blend of the modern and traditional lifestyle of Ahmedabad.
This guided tour is for free.
• Date – Sunday, 9th April, 2017
• Duration-. 8:00 am to 11.30 am. Meeting time- 7.45 am.
• Meeting Point – Bhadra Kali Temple, Near Bhadra Fort, Ahmedabad
• Walk led by- Pratik Shah
Things to keep in mind:
*Mandatory registration closes after 25 entries.

After the online registration, do inform through a text message or an email, before the walk, if you are unable to attend it.
