Project: ‘Kaashmir’ exhibits breathtaking photographs of the heaven on earth – Kashmir, which were taken under challenging conditions by Valji Solanki and prove his dedication towards photography.

Valji Solanki joined Photography Studio in the year 1984. With the change in the technology in these three decades from old cameras to the modern DSLRs,
he has constantly been inquisitive to learn newer techniques and tools of photography. Valji bhai, along with his experience of developing negatives for getting chromogenic color and black & white prints has also mastered the digital photography skills over the time. Besides documenting important events and gatherings at the Institute he has worked enthusiastically for exhibitions like Design in India – Commonwealth Institute, London, Tasar Silk Project, Manipur Pavilion and many more.

He has been an integral member of the NID community. With his love for photography and his willingness to share his knowledge, he has always been a driving force, constantly inspiring the students and the staff amidst their design journey.
