Prizes Worth: 35k Finals Date: 25th Jan, 2019 Last date for submitting video application: 25th December Competition Format: Round 1 – Prelims & Shortlisting • During registration, each participant will have to submit a demo song, with the submission made in any file format that is playable on VLC at chaos-music@iima.ac.in by 24th December 2018. The video must be shot in a resolution of 720p or greater with clear sound and should be recording of a live performance. • Participants can select songs from any genre including folk, classical, western, bollywood etc and can use any accompanying musical instrument. • Participants can perform in either English or Hindi language. • Shortlisting for the finale round will be done on the basis of the entries received. • The finalists will be notified through email by 31st December 2018. Round 2 – Finals: The finale will be held at IIM Ahmedabad on 26th January, 2019. • The time limit for each participant is 6 minutes including sound check. • Use of pre-recorded tracks is not permitted. • Participants can perform any number of songs (in Hindi, English or both) within 6 minutes after which marks will be deducted; participant will be disqualified on exceeding 8 minutes. • Participants can perform with one instrumental accompaniment or play instrument themselves along with vocals. • Every genre EXCEPT Semi-classical (bhajans and ghazals) and Rap are allowed. • Criteria for Judging: ▪ Vocals ▪ Musical Ability ▪ Coordination ▪ Stage Presence ▪ Overall Quality of performance • Judge’s decision shall be final and binding.
