ArtSpeaks introduces animated films and a series of illustrations of Krishna Chandran, an award winning animator/director, this Friday at 7 pm. Open to all and Free.
In this evening, he brings to the fore two of his continuing projects. First, a satirical series of characters, called Humans of Thengakkola, strolling through the streets of an imaginary village in Kerala. Taking inspiration from people that the illustrator/writer meets in everyday life, these characters push the limits of exaggeration for a comedic effect while subtly exposing the existing social issues in suburban lives.
Krishna along with this series will also be presenting a series of short films during the evening. He directed and created many children’s short films with the reputed French studio Folimage; one of the film receiving more than 90 nominations and 10 awards in various Film Festivals around the world.
