LIVE CARICATURE:

Drop by at the cafe anytime during 11 AM – 9 PM and get a personalised caricature made by Ale Bara.

EXHIBITION:

Monsters from abroad is showing some of the work of Guatemalan artist Bara who is visiting Ahmedabad for a brief time. Bara uses linocuts and woodcuts to create her pieces and turns her monsters into fine art prints.

This Thursday Bara will give a workshop on how to make your own monster and then she will give a live demonstration of how the linocuts are made.


WORKSHOP:

Learn how to make your own little monster inspired by real people and nature. We will learn how to make basic faces, eyes expressions, different types of mouths and noses and how to mix and match to make your own characters.

Duration: 1 hour from 6pm to 7pm
Ticket: INR 600

About Ale Bara:

Bara is an artist and illustrator from Guatemala specialized in drawing characters, specially monsters inspired in her daily live, minimalism and street art. Since 2010, after living in Kenya for a year and backpacking through south east Asia, Bara started developing her unique and peculiar stye, inspired from different cultures she encountered in her trips.
