When we say “self-produced”, it means from start to end, we’ll be producing and performing the entire concert live from a studio and people can enjoy the event with their family from the comfort of their home. Due to COVID 19, most of the festivals and occasions this year are not going in the usual way. On most of these special days, we all are stuck at our home, feeling bad, helpless and at times exhausted. Because of this situation, this year’s Durga Pujo will not be the same as well for any of us. And that is exactly where this entire digital concert idea came from. Every year during this time, we entertain audiences all over the world with our music and so much joy and pleasantries are exchanged. However in such unprecedented times, in order to put a smile on people’s faces, we have come up with the idea of a digital concert. Moreover, Durga Pujo is normally the most important time for artists, musicians and people from the event industry. So, this digital concert being a “ticketed” one, would help a few of the event industry vendors too who would provide us with the studio, sound, lights and cameras needed for the production, and thus making their Durga Pujo a little better amidst all the joblessness. So, the more people buy the tickets, the better the production can be done and that would invariably help our vendors in a way. We all are really looking forward to this year’s Mahalaya since it’s going to be a completely new experience for every one of us involved…the musicians, the vendors and the audience.
