2023-06-03 21:30:00 2023-06-03 00:00:00 Asia/Kolkata Vijali - The Musical

130 years ago on the 8th of November 1888, on a stormy late night, 25 km from Saurashtra’s Mangrol port, ‘The unsinkable’ steamer namely Vijali sank with so many people! For years, we have been celebrating the exciting adventurous legends and folk songs around Vijali. But this play is not about why ‘Vijali’ sank and how it sank. This play is actually about the emotions around the land of the Mangrol. The land where captain Haji Kaasam was born, brought up, and grew up with Ameena. Also where he, to prove himself, went to explore the sea. The play is also about Haji, Ameena, and Nelly’s love triangle, about Ameena’s longing for Haji Kaasam who went to conquer the seven seas. About the adventures of Haji being unaware of the immense strength that lies in and then conquering all odds to rule over the water kingdom. No love exists without a prolonged wait is the soul of this play. Ameena is waiting for Haji, who went on an endless voyage. This wait has no end! This unconditional love of Haji and Ameena is still relevant today. In the end, the villagers and the whole world accept that Vijali has already drowned….Haji is gone forever but Ameena says that Haaji will return to her no matter what because she has her faith in love and this faith will be there forever. This devoted love will be eternal till the folk songs of Vijali exist.

The Game of Moves – A Hindi Play

Duration:- 45 min
Cast:- Milan Parmar Neha Lakhara Dhruvil Raval
Writer:- Shubhash Shah
Adaptation & Direction:- Jay Dumater

In the world of theatre every move is calculated every word rehearsed—but what happens when the lines between reality and performance begin to blur?

An ambitious director and a passionate actor—bound by love and creativity—invite a third performer into their latest production. Together they craft a gripping drama a play within a play where relationships are tested boundaries are crossed and the script is never truly set in stone. As the scenes unfold personal tensions seep into the performance and what starts as a controlled act spirals into a dangerous game of emotions betrayal and power.

When the hero rewrites his role reality bends to his will. The play takes an unexpected turn and a deadly game begins—one where trust is shattered revenge takes center stage and a single sip could mean the difference between life and death. As the final act approaches the audience is left on the edge of their seats questioning: is this still a performance or has the real game just begun?

In The Game of Moves every player has a strategy. But in the end only one will dictate the final move.
