This week-long stretch tries to bring culture and heritage a little closer to people through various events, workshops, lectures and activities aimed to involve everyone from all age groups and all walks of life. Building upon Trin Trin Amdavad organized on the occasion of International Museum day in May,2019, Khayaal, this time, aims to re-imagine the way ‘heritage’ is perceived in this World Heritage City of Ahmedabad. Moving out of the designated walled city area, Trin Trin Amdavad 2.0 tries to connect everyday nodes of importance to spread the idea that be it heritage, culture or inheritance, an integral part of all our lives are sub-consciously rooted and related to elements from where we reside. We thus, try to bring to you your own city, Ahmedabad, as the first ‘heritage city’ you ever reside in, manage, acquire objects for and curate according to how you want it to be known worldwide- complete with the lives and times of those that live on or have lived here. With an objective to make people aware of what they have around themselves, this event is a cycle treasure hunt divided into teams. Linking important but seldom highlighted nodes, people, places and practices of the city, the treasure hunt would start at 6:23 am in the morning and try to imbibe the various elements of the city’s heritage that are integral to the feeling called Ahmedabad, in turn, giving these elements their due recognition.
