It is known for hosting a multitude of events that include competitions, exhibitions, lectures and workshops along with several other social initiatives and outreach programs. It is among the very few festivals to have received patronage from various non-governmental organisations, for the promotion of technical know-how and social causes through ideate competitions. Through the years, the GTU Techfest has grown to be GUJARAT’S BIGGEST COLLEGE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FESTIVAL. The GTU Central TechFest, funded by Gujarat Technological University itself, will be hosted by L. D. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING this year and will provide a platform for the students to showcase their technical prowess, and also provide ample exposure to the new technologies for their holistic and overall development. The previous editions of the Techfest boast of having conducted 60+ Tech and Non-tech events, including events like ATV Challenge, RoboMinton and the much appreciated GTU’s Got Talent. This year, it promises to come back with much more, like various management and pharma events, in addition to 65+ technical events, and 4 quizzes held by eminent QuizMasters, thus broadening the spectrum and creating even more opportunities for students to display their talent, and to develop the skills that they possess. In addition, under the recently 100 Activity Points system of GTU, students will be entitled to obtain 12 points for participation in any of the events. Source: Facebook page L. D.
