In 1991, Somnath Hore wrote an essay Amar Chitra Bhabna (My Concept of Art) where he shares the paths his life took and the art that emerged as he walked these paths.

This film explores Somnath Hore’s life and art through his writings, weaving together archival material and art work spanning his lifetime. Sifting through the artist’s life experiences, influences, associations, and his evocative descriptions of materials and processes, the film attempts to find connections – In his own words.

Shivani Monga is a New Delhi based Filmmaker and Co-Founder of Katapult Films. Over the decade and a half of her professional journey, Shivani has directed and produced content for various mediums from television to digital. She pursues her personal interests in children’s content, art, and culture in her independent work.
