Dristi-A Gujarati play
This play directed by National Award Winner Director VIRAL RACHH and penned by eminent leading theatre person YOGESH SOMAN is a joyride that makes the audience smile in one eye with tears in the other.
RIYA ( played by Reeva Rachh) – is an 18-year-old Blind Beautiful teenage girl who has failed in 12th and is full of bitterness resentment. Irritated and frustrated with her life she is sent to a mentor ABHAY ( played by Jay Vithlani).
Abhay a 32-year-old confident mentor makes it clear to Riya in the first meeting that neither he is a teacher who will help her in her studies nor a psychiatrist or an eye surgeon. BUT he shall give her DRISHTI ( VISION) to see life. Not EYES but VISION.
What Riya doesn’t know nor can she see is that Mentor Abhay himself is also Blind. And then begins a bright colorful journey of two people living in darkness a process which will change the life of both of them forever.
