Crraft Of Art is an initiative focused on reintroducing monuments to the people, especially the younger generation. It addresses creatively, a worrying disconnect and receding interest among the general public and youth towards our monuments and heritage.

For the past 12 years, in 23 Music Festivals, Crraft of Art has taken the monuments to people, so to speak, through a rich blend of quality thematic music and display of the monument’s innate craftsmanship, beauty and splendour. The special effort is in unearthing the monument’s hidden art, history and glory, presenting it to people in a form that makes it richer in content and appeal and blending it with music that makes the message special and relevant.

This year COA has the privilege to bring to you Water Festival from a monument that we are working with for the very first time. Dada Harir Vav, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Built-in 1500 by Bai Hari Sultani, the superintendent of the Royal Harem and household lady of Mahmud Begada is located in the eastern part of Ahmedabad city. Constructed in Sandstone in Solanki architecture style, this five-storey stepwell is a splendid monument known for its beauty and artistry.

Crraft Of Art is a Vision of and an Initiative by Birwa Qureshi.

The Game of Moves – A Hindi Play

Duration:- 45 min
Cast:- Milan Parmar Neha Lakhara Dhruvil Raval
Writer:- Shubhash Shah
Adaptation & Direction:- Jay Dumater

In the world of theatre every move is calculated every word rehearsed—but what happens when the lines between reality and performance begin to blur?

An ambitious director and a passionate actor—bound by love and creativity—invite a third performer into their latest production. Together they craft a gripping drama a play within a play where relationships are tested boundaries are crossed and the script is never truly set in stone. As the scenes unfold personal tensions seep into the performance and what starts as a controlled act spirals into a dangerous game of emotions betrayal and power.

When the hero rewrites his role reality bends to his will. The play takes an unexpected turn and a deadly game begins—one where trust is shattered revenge takes center stage and a single sip could mean the difference between life and death. As the final act approaches the audience is left on the edge of their seats questioning: is this still a performance or has the real game just begun?

In The Game of Moves every player has a strategy. But in the end only one will dictate the final move.

A guided tour of the new exhibition “Shaktirupa: Goddess as Imagined by the Artists”

She nurtures and protects; she provides but can also destroy. Shakti, the divine feminine energy of the Goddess, is both multiform and multifaceted. Across Hindu artistic traditions, artists have interpreted and visualized her various forms from literary texts, oral traditions and popular mythology. Through their creative agency, Shakti comes to life on the painted surface and is transformed by artistic vision and skill.

The exhibition, “Shaktirupa: Goddess as Imagined by the Artists” presents carefully curated paintings and drawings from the Kasturbhai Lalbhai Collection and N C Mehta Collection, alongside folios from the Durga Saptashati manuscript housed at the Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Institute of Indology. Explore these artworks in dialogue with their textual sources and creators, and immerse yourself in the artists’ imagination through excerpts and a multisensory experience.
