This activity is organized as a part of the International Museum Day Celebration, celebrated world-wide every year on/ around 18th of May, as declared by ICOM (International Council of Museums) since 1977. The theme for this year is: “Museums and Cultural Landscapes”.

The L.D. Museum is going to introduce every participant to, Chitravali: A fun with scroll activity, where, every child will be given individual scroll, on which he/ she will be given the freedom to express the city of Ahmedabad or a city of their choice, using various mix mediums (like colours, paper-cuttings, textile patches and more). In the process our mentor, Smt. Sampa Dey Nandy (art-educator), would engage the participants and narrate to them stories from our history on scroll, and introduce them to the various characteristics of scroll, in a fun with learning process. The objective is to familiarize the children with one of the ancient techniques used in recording information, which was traditionally practiced across many cultures.

A fantastic event to celebrate the International Museum Day, and give your child a fun experience at the museum.
