2025-03-08 17:30:00 2025-03-08 00:00:00 Asia/Kolkata Artist Presentation

Join us for an ARTIST PRESENTATION featuring Kanoria’s Studio Artist, Jayesh Shrimali, as he takes us through his journey of exploring personal history, emotions, and the impact of loss through immersive installations. His work delves into themes of grief, memory, and self-discovery, using found objects, fire, and symbolic materials to create deeply evocative art. The presentation would be followed by an open studio of his work.

Jayesh Shrimali is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice revolves around autobiographical narratives and the emotional weight of absence. Through his installations, he reconstructs personal memories, particularly those tied to the loss of his parents, offering an intimate look into themes of longing and resilience.

Jayesh incorporates salvaged doors, windows, nails, and wood from his old family home into his work, symbolizing an enduring connection to the past. Fire plays a transformative role in his process, creating textures that deepen the layers of meaning within his art. By blending found objects, color, and space, Jayesh invites viewers to engage in a dialogue about loss, identity, and emotional healing. His work acts as a bridge between the personal and the universal, encouraging reflection and empathy.
