Arjit and Company claim to be an indie alternative/folk rock band based in Mumbai, India but really, they’re just a bunch of guys who like making music. The songs are written by singer-songwriter and guitarist Arjit Sahai who quit his job in the merchant navy and moved to Mumbai to pursue his many passions. He was lucky enough to find percussionist Ritesh Malaney who is classically trained in tabla and produces experimental electronic music as Subsyncrassy. Ritesh Malaney’s complex and often incomprehensible rhythms and keen sense of sound made Arjit see his songs in a new light. After many months of performing, Ritesh finally revealed his secret weapon: bassist/producer Dhruv Kathuria. Dhruv instantly connected with the melancholic vibe and started producing and playing with the band. This eventually led to their debut EP “Tell Me Everything” and the second EP “You are loved” The songs in both the EP’s talk about having no regrets, doing what you love and loving yourself. They are constantly working to create opportunities and collaborating with all kinds of artists like dancers and storytellers to create something bigger than just the music. ANC hopes to inspire people to find meaning in their lives and give them solace through the tiring journey it will take them through. Source : Facebook.
