Play Synopsis –
Inspired by a real-life incident, Kalaa Yane Andhera (Black Means Darkness) is a play that talks about freedom of an artist through the metaphor of colors. The play has characters from cross sections of the society. It also shows the grey side of each and every character.

Kelkar, a passionate art teacher has two students – A talented and gifted painter Krishnan and money-minded practical Raju. Krishnan loves and admires Kelkar, while Raju hates him. The play is about Raju’s journey to find Krishnan, his painting and remind Kelkar of his passion and get him hisdeserved recognition.

The play is about artists’ freedom and free will sjomething which has vanished in the current scenario. The Play was presented orignally few years back and had a lot of shows all across Guarat as well as in Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai, National Theatre Festival, Patna.

Looking at the current scenario of the nation and the risk the artist is at together Indie Productions, Scrapyard – The Theatre & Rangayan Theatre & Acting Workshop Team under the leadership of Kabir Thakore will revived the play.
