SUR MAYI SHAAM with Sailesh Savani

Sailesh was born and spent his early childhood in Kolkata where he found his first love of life in Music as he started training for Hindustani Classical vocals during his early childhood. Sailesh moved to Mumbai in his late teens where he underwent more serious Hindustani Classical tutelage under his Guru Shri D.D. Banerjee of Agra Gharana. Sailesh however found Semi and Light Classical more expressive and appealing both because of the depth of lyrics and simplicity of the form which enabled him to connect with a wider audience.

Living in Nairobi Kenya Sailesh has been singing light classical for over 30 years and has enthralled audiences in various countries including Kenya UK USA UAE and India. Sailesh’s very unique style of conversational performance enables him to establish a quick and deep connection with his audience whereby he intertwines Ragas Ghazals Geets and Bollywood Songs alongside related stories in an enchanting way leaving his audience mesmerized every time he performs.
