The makers carve intricate designs on teak wood using their skill. These blocks are then sent to block printing centers, that use them to print designs on fabric. Come to the workshop and create a block from your idea, and learn the craft of wood block carving from a practicing artisan. This ancient Mural art form bestows an ethereal vibration to any space. Learn this art form, which has traditionally been a domain of women from Kutch, and is till today an inseparable part of ‘Bhunga’ decor. Urmilaben, a generational crafts person, will lead you into the world of mud and mirrors. Participate in this mesmerizing craft and learn to grow three-dimensional flowers and leaves using a thread and a needle. Ansari Shahid Hussain has the unique distinction of creating art work of Heritage Monuments using Zardosi Craft. He is part of EU sponsored Ahmedabad Heritage Ventures Limited (AHVL) project.
