We believe in a simple Mantra, “Acting is Doing” so we create such an environment where you “Do” and experience. The modules of the workshop focus predominantly on on realistic acting, designed mainly for the medium of cinema. Modules that will be covered are:- 1. Breaking the Physical and Mental Inhibitions 2. General/Sense Awareness 3. Theatre Games to Create a Creative Environment 4. An Actor’s Regime (Physical and Vocal) 5. Concentration Exercises 6. Imagination (Space, Object, People, Environmental Factors) 7. Relaxation 8. Introduction to the Factors (5 Ws, Relationship, Previous Incident) 9. Improvisation 10. Luckhnowi Embroidery Workshop

Learn the intricate luckhnowi/shadow work embroidery. As the name suggests in this intense workshop on the traditional and age old craft of chikankari or shadow work from Luckhnow,we will take you through the basics of this beautiful and delicate handcraft. This embroidery is delicately done on kurtaas, sarees and lot of other textile products. Chikankari or the shadow work is mostly done with white threads on bright and pastel colored surface ,but on the back or the reverse side of the fabric using the herringbone stitches,which results into fine shadows on the face of the fabric. Apart from herringbone we can apply few more basic stitches as well. The fabric mostly used for this embroidery is sheer or transparent textiles like soft organdy, soft cotton,voile or chiffon Georgette to enhance the intricacies of the work. This workshop is organized by pH Designs in collaboration with Tara- ABD Workshop Details: – In the two-day workshop we will first show you the basic stitches and then provide you with a organdy piece with design printed on it for you to fill and take home a nice chikankari or shadow embroidered piece. – Also we will give an applique duppatta in organdy so that you could fill it in your way for future works. – Happy learning the intricate craft. Learn the intricate luckhnowi/shadow work embroidery.

As the name suggests in this intense workshop on the traditional and age old craft of chikankari or shadow work from Luckhnow,we will take you through the basics of this beautiful and delicate handcraft.
