2020-01-04 16:00:00 2020-01-15 07:00:00 Asia/Kolkata A Dramatic Reading Workshop

There is something about reading a book aloud that really lets you immerse yourself in a story and make it come alive. It allows us to experiment with spoken word, drama and characterization.

So Come be funny and dramatic as we read Roald Dahl’s “Revolting Rhymes” at The Dramatic Reading Workshop, which sees him rewrite some of the world’s best-known fairy tales from Cinderella to Little Red Riding Hood.

Members of the workshop will be introduced to vocal exercises to improve their speaking as well as basic acting exercises to learn to bring more emotion in their reading.

The purpose is to gauge the effectiveness of the dialogue, pacing and flow and other dramatic elements.

Be excited when the character is excited, pause when the character would pause. Remember that it is a dramatic reading–it is your job to be dramatic!

Age Group: 10 years onwards
Date & Time: Every Saturday 4th January 2020 – 15th February 2020
