About the Event: The Workshop explores Enid Blytons ability to look at ordinary situations with unique wit and insight. Through simple but elegant narratives Enid Blyton has broken the age barrier. Enid Blyton well-known as one of the best loved by the most and most prolific writer. Enid Blyton has been writing junior fiction, essays, poetry and short stories. Through this workshop students can improve their reading Comprehension with the help of Narrative text. Facilitator will read the story ‘Fly Away Cottage’. Children can bring along their favourite books by Enid Blyton. Through the workshop students will be able to;
• Understand Author Enid Blyton and her works
• Identify the components of effective reading comprehension
• support students’ comprehension before, during, and after reading
• provide opportunities for reading and responding to text
• encourage critical and thoughtful response to text
• enhance their vocabulary
Facilitator: Ms Yogita Ahuja is a certified English language teacher from TESOL and an accredited Storyteller.
