Camp is all about inspiring creativity in kids at different ages! These activities will keep your kids not only entertained and engaged but give them a zeal to DIY and upcycle things that are around them.

Day 1 (Monday, 12th Apr)

Sock Puppet Making – A sock puppet is a puppet made from a sock or similar garment. It is amazing how an old sock can transform into a character and things that seem otherwise hard in DIY seem easy with guidance from the trainer. Additions can be glued on in order to give the sock a personality. We will make our puppets, name them and weave a story around the characters.

Materials required – Socks, adhesive, cardboard, scissors, colored paper/ beads/ foam sheet, any small decorative that you have.

Day 2 (Wednesday 14th Apr)

Book Sculpture & Corner Bookmarks – Create some cute DIY bookmarks to encourage reading for kids or for yourself. Transform an old book into masterpiece! Bring an old book and sculpt out your own design.

Materials required – Any old books, any marker or sketch pens, glue, colored or white papers, scissors.

Day 3 (Friday, 16th Apr)

Pebble Painting & Upcycling a T-SHIRT to a tote bag– Learn how to upcycle an old T-shirt and make it into a tote bag and learn to paint on pebbles to create beautiful and interesting pieces.

Materials required – T-shirts, scissors, Pebbles/ stones with plain smooth surface, acrylic paint, brushes, pencil, rag and waterproof markers.

Day 4 (Monday, 19th Apr)

Bottle Painting – Upcycle your glass bottles to a beautiful piece of art using some fun and endearing art techniques making most of materials available with you. These bottles can be used then as vases, lampshade holders etc.

Materials required – Empty glass/ plastic/ metal bottle or jar, acrylic paints, brushes, sponge(optional), earbuds/ Q tips, any marker or sketch pen.

Day 5 (Wednesday, 21st Apr)

Slime and Bath Bombs making – Learn how to make your own scented and colored bath bombs and also will get to make either a glitter slime or fluffy slime. Children will be introduced to the chemistry behind the making of the bath bombs and slime.

Materials required – Transparent glue, baking soda, food colour, glitter of any type, mixing bowl, spoon for stirring, Citric acid, corn starch, epsom salt, castor oil, essential oil, plastic mould/ soap mould.

Day 6 (Friday, 23rd Apr)

Tie and Dye – Kids will be introduced to tie and dye fabric art in various cultures. You’ll be playing with colours and water – splashing, dipping, twisting, folding, tying and dyeing to create a lovely piece of textile art.

Materials required – Fabric or piece of clothes, any dye, plastic container for dyeing, rubber bands, threads, paint brush, acrylic paints.
