Stories and Objects in Indian ...

Stories and Objects in Indian Art. We are back with our summer workshop sessions at the Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum. This workshop titled “Stories and Objects in Indian Art” focuses on visual learning. Museums are culturally and visually rich spaces full of art objects and artistic representations of stories from our heritage. We wish to, through this interactive workshop encourage the children to look more keenly at the paintings and associate objects painted within the artwork to the larger narratives that the art represents. It will be a chance for the young viewers to explore the paintings in a minute way and then engage in a dialogue with the stories through activities. We are organising two sessions of the same workshop. The content of the workshop in both the sessions is the same, so in case you are not able to register for the first session, you can so do for the second.
