You’ll hear elements of Drum & Bass, Indian Classical, Latin grooves, Electronica, Jazz, some noise and discord that they use, to create rhythmic tension and change the direction of the music WORKSHOP: 4 PM to 6 PM The Raffaele Matta Trio will be conducting a workshop on Rhythm Strategies & Melodic Shapes to integrate elements of Indian Music with a Jazz approach. In the workshop, The Raffaele Trio will discuss how to integrate elements of Indian music (Raga, Taal, Kannakol) with a jazz approach and demonstrate how they visualize and create rhythmic tension and poly-rhythms with very simple methods. *Prior registration is MANDATORY for WORKSHOP *Workshop attendees are privileged to attend the performance (8pm-10pm), post the workshop.
