Quilting is an age old art to develop quilts and give patterns using layers of fabrics, needles and threads.

Traditionally it was to make quilts to cover and spread using old left fabrics and cloth pieces, but today it has advanced and developed into a a frequently used crafts.

It is widely used in making throws, baby quilts, Table cloth, tops, jackets, Table linen and more.

Quilting workshop organized by pH Designs in collaboration with Tara- ABD

Workshop Details :
The workshop lasts for about two days and two hours,

First day
Understanding the technique and to practice using needle and thread to stitch patterns on a piece of fabric.

Second day
Develop a product from the fabric provided which would be cushion cover, Half sleeves short jacket, table mats or a baby quilt.

Here in the workshop the learner gets to learn quilting using poly fill as layers or filling, using thread and needles and crafting simple patterns with the help of running stitch.

Mehta Gallery invites you for Workshop on ‘Traditional Nathdwara Style of Painting’ to be conducted by Mrs. Vaidehi Shah (an Ahmedabad based artist who has been practicing miniature paintings and Pichwai paintings on cloth as well as paper since last 36 years) The workshop will commence at the above mentioned time, starting with a very brief talk on Nathdwara school of painting.
