Priya Pariyani's solo show opens at Amdavad Ni Gufa

Notable personalities from Gujarat’s art fraternity were present at Amdavad Ni Gufa on Tuesday evening for the inaugural of Priya Pariyani’s Solo Show, her 18th, titled ‘Ehsaas’. The inauguration saw in attendance prominent artists – like CD Mistry, Natu Mistry, Vrindavan Solanki, Natu Parikh and others. The guest of honour was Khushboo Bagga,  founder of Art-e-fair Ahmedabad.

There was a visible air of appreciation among the attendees of the show. Pariyani has participated in more than 40 group shows till now, and ‘Ehsaas’ is a collection of 46 original artworks; which includes 16 paintings and 30 photographs based on the theme of feelings. The art show will remain open from June 6, 2017, to June 11, 2017, everyday from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM.

Pariyani has been making artworks on woman-centric subjects since the beginning of her artistic career. In Ehsaas she has again showcased womanly aspects while hinting on human feelings. Her signature style of depicting one-eyed figures continues in this collection too. “I think for people to notice anything, one eye is certainly enough, especially for the observational purpose.” said Pariyani, when we asked about this concept which she has been continuing since 2008. Her works are easy to the eye and the subjects have the ability to draw the viewer’s attention towards it.

Pariyani draws inspiration from nature and life around, and the photographs on display are a documentation of her creative process.

‘Ehsaas’ is a wonderful show that culminates variety of subjects to depict the theme of ‘feelings’.
