Creative Yatra the offbeat media space felt intrigued on hearing the news that there will be no more holidays on birth and death anniversary of public leaders in schools and colleges anymore. The new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Ji declared that informative sessions explaining the greatness of these social beings would be held within the institutes instead of giving holidays on these occasions.
The announcement was made during the 126th birth anniversary of Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar, where Adityanathji said that many children don’t even know why they are being given a holiday on this day, which not at all suffices the purpose of it. He believes that an efficient educational system should at least have 220 working days, but due to holidays, the school is only able to work for 130-140 days a year, which is very less for students to learn and teachers to teach.
The idea is actually a new approach towards qualitative education, but the question is, will the ripples of this decision be accepted positively by the public?
