Charlotte Art Weekly’s 8th edition is all that you need to get enriched this week
Why should we go to watch a play, attend a musical concert, visit an art show or be a part of the listeners at a literary gathering? In a time when best of the best television soaps and movies are available just a click away, why should we take the pain to go to our neighbourhood and be a part of the creative movement? The answer is simple when you visit such an enriching happening; you meet people of the same taste, who consume the archetypal content of the mundane with a twist. You take the effort out of your comfort zone, invest your time, patience and energy to absorb the experience and move beyond the title of an ‘attendee’ to turn into a connoisseur. The 8th Charlotte Art Weekly is here to help you in developing an aesthete in you, by introducing you to the most heartening events of this week.
The pinch of history makes the overall Charlotte Art Weekly a delightful piece, transforming it from an infographic that reflects city activities to a post that reminds Charlotte’s integral heritage and tradition. This week we have borrowed inspiration from James Lee Barrett, a North Carolinian screenwriter, producer and writer, who wrote award winning titles like Shenandoah, The Green Berets, Smokey and The Bandit and 1965 epic film The Greatest Story Ever Told. Born in Charlotte Barrett graduated from the Anderson University and served as a US Marine Corp before the telecasting of his first work in The Murder of a Sand Flea, 1957. Barret received various accolades for his contribution to the American Television Industry and left for the heavenly abode in 1989 before witnessing his last work, In The Heat Of The Night, become one of America’s all-time chart topper.
These events will quench your supplement for this week’s creativity quota:
