Vino Espanol - The Spanish wines

For the Spanish, Wine is much more than a mere beverage. It is deeply rooted with Spanish Culture. The wine culture is in existence in Spain since aeons. The vineyards of Spain are actually nourished like a baby by the farmers so they give out the best quality grapes. Whether it’s a baby shower, marriage, or a funeral, wine is a necessary ritual for every occasion in Spain. Not just special events, no meal will be considered complete without a serving of a glass of wine.

The Spanish wines are considered among the best in the world as Spanish people give real importance to the grape as fruit, other than wine. On a new year’s eve the twelve striking bells of the midnight are supposed to be celebrated while eating a grape with every strike. And believe it, it’s not that easy as it seems! Wine making or even opening a wine bottle is an honoured tradition, which is taught as an heirloom recipe to the growing generations.

Both Red and White wines are made out of grapes and have a solid sensation while pouring and holding it in a glass. It is said while drinking wine you have to actually enjoy it with all your senses, smell the aroma, watch the reddish liquid making your mouth watery, feel every sip touching your lips and hear the sound gulping it and tinkling your food pipe.

From where did we get an idea to exaggerate the whole Spanish wine distillery, well, Creative Yatra is in Valladolid and is feeling proud to be a part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Cigales wines. The social was organised at Museo Patio Herreriano (Museum of Contemporary Arts) and had the Mayor of City and the President of Castilla Leon and the President of Cigales Association as the main guests.
