The holiday season special CAW’s inspiration is 1938 born African-American artist, actor, football player and wordsmith Ernie Barnes. The polymath stands stalwart in the field f creativity with his signature style of elongation and movement. With more than 26 athletic scholarships Barnes decided to do a major in art under the tutelage of Dr Leroy T. Walkerand by the time he completed his college he was already a football star. He is the founder of the neo-mannerist movement wherein art consists features like twisting lines, prolonging of the human body, lucidity of stroke, atypical spatial affairs, dyed casing, and idiosyncratic colours were a part of his work like his painting Slow Dance, Essence of Olympics artworks, the Sugar Shack and The Bench.
