Trailer Launch of Hellaro I Interview with makers of National Award winning Gujarati Film

Hellaro is the first-ever Gujarati film that has received National Award for Best Feature Film. This is a huge recognition for the Gujarati Film Industry. Ever since the National Award announcement, the film has been constantly in news, for its distinct theme.

On October 10, 2019, the makers launched the film’s trailer with much fanfare at a multiplex in Ahmedabad. The trailer is brilliant, and it further raises the expectations from the film. In a time when the Gujarati film uprising is marked by ‘urban’ Gujarati label, here comes a film which prides in its rustic and regional flavour. The trailer makes it clear that the film’s storyline revolves around ‘Garba’, the hugely popular folk dance form from Gujarat, and how this dance form, becomes a medium for liberation for a group of women. The film is set in the early part of the 19th century, which also makes this, the rare new age Gujarati film that is set in a yesteryear period.

Creative Yatra was present at the trailer launch, we talk with the film’s director Abhishek Shah, lyricist Saumya Joshi, co-producer Aayush Patel along with some of the members from film’s ensemble cast.

Keep following #CYwithHellaro for all the updates on the film. The film is set to release on November 8th, 2019.
