Remembering Bapu through his favourite prayers I Gandhi150

Mahatma Gandhi is revered across the globe, across every race and religion, as an apostle of peace and nonviolence. What Gandhi did for an entire nation is unprecedented in world’s modern history. Not just he leads the movement of India’s freedom struggle against the British oppressors, he successfully became the conscience of millions of people. His simplicity, humility and compassion are unparalleled.

Ahmedabad is home to 4 institutes established by Gandhi himself. Kochrab Ashram, Sabarmati Ashram, Gujarat Vidyapith and Navjivan Trust. Ahmedabad is lucky to have this valued heritage a part of its cityscape.

Today on October 2nd 2018, starts the 150th Birth Year of the Mahatma. Prayers (bhajans) had a very special place in Bapu’s routine. He put a lot of significance to prayer and meditation in his daily routine and made it a rule of Ashram for everyone to participate in it. For years, until he breathed his last, he never missed his prayer meetings. His unfortunate demise, happened while he was on his way to his evening prayer.

To commemorate the beginning of the 150th Birth year of Gandhiji, CreativeYatra.com makes this special offering of two prayers as an ode to the Mahatma.

We invite musicians for all over the world to join in with a prayer. Those interested in sharing their videos with us can send them at content@creativeyatra.com
