Google Cultural Institute is soon going to sign an agreement with
Indian Rail Museum to partner and digitize the heritage assets of
Indian Railway and help create a digital repository for universal
online access free of cost. Indian Railways has a huge list of
heritage assets including bridges, hundreds of steam locomotives,
station buildings, artifacts, coaches and more than 20 museums which
can be showcased for the global audience. The heritage assets’ online
representation is believed to act as a great tourist attraction and a
medium to plan and preserve its cultural history.
